I’M Back!! Its Been A While

Well Guys its been a while as the title says, its been 2 years in fact a lot has happened in 2 years. Lets go back a year, 2019  (January) I got two rescue Guinea Pigs called Harry and Ron from pets at home, I started a Level 3 collage course in Travel and Tourism as i wanted to be an events Planner,

Moving to March/ April 2019 i visited a place i have always wanted to go Warner Bros Studio Tour i.e. Harry Potter studio,

Here are a few of my favourite pictures from the Tour

May 2019 – My friends dog had 7 (4 girls and 3 boys) Black Labrador puppies from the minute i saw them i wanted to get one, i picked one out the runt of the litter a little girl from the first time i saw her she had a name MISTY (story behind the name misty, this little dog wanted to be alone didn’t really bother with any other puppies she just took her self of into the corner, we always thought she was plotting something against the others very mysterious if you asked me so the name misty was born)

June 2019- as a knew i was getting Misty i had to prepare for her by getting all the essentials i.e. Cage (as i was going to crate train her) collar, name tag, toys, bed, food, (Nobody ever tells you exactly what you need for a new puppy i had to find out)

27th June 2019– the day i took M90513049_2975005369204588_2072704414790975488_o.jpgisty home. It took me a week to crate train/ potty train her which was a hard thing to do as i had to sleep downstairs for that week as every so often take her out to the toilet (i didn’t use puppy training pads with her as she picked up going out side really quickly.

Skipping to the end of the year 2019- On the 31st December 2019 My Boyfriend asked me to marry him (I’ve known him for 10 years we’ve been best friends and been with him for 6 years. a GETTING MARRIED IN APRIL 202181115746_2793657110672749_5317700937341468672_n.jpg

Pop some Fizz!!

Hi Guys I’m back with another baking post, this post is all about how to create a bottle shape cake, so let’s get started!

For the Cake You will need:

20cm x 30 cm rectangle tin

225g self-raising flour

2 tsp baking powder

4 eggs

225g soft butter

225g caster sugar

6 drops of vanilla extract

2 tsp milk

Method:

Pre heat the oven to 160℃ or 140℃ fan

Line the baking tins  (or rub with butter works both ways)

Sift the self-raising flour and baking powder into a large bowl

Add the remaining ingredients .e.g. (eggs, butter, sugar, vanilla extract and milk) and beat untill thoroughly mixed.

Pour into the tin

Bake for 30/35 minutes some ovens may vary, keep checking to see if the cake is cooked use a knife or skewer and if it comes out clean the cake has cooked.

Leave to cool in the tins for about 10 to 15 minutes then move then onto a wire rack to cool completely

This is what the cake will look like when it is cooked.

th-1.jpeg

To make the Vanilla Buttercream You will need:

1 cup of  unsalted butter (room temperature)

6 to 8 cups of icing sugar (confectioners sugar)

1/2 cup of milk

1 tsp of vanilla extract

To Make

In a bowl cream the butter and sugar together until smooth and creamy (you can use an electric mixer it will take 2-3 minutes) Add the milk and vanilla extract and mix further until you get the right consistency ( little tip – put in the fridge for and hour to set.

Cutting the shape of A Bottle

You will need to cut the cake in half to get it the right size for the template below there is a link to a template of a Gin Bottle (bare in mind this is quite tricky to cut )

Click to access Gin_Beer_Champagne_Templates.pdf

First print out the template and cut it out, place it on the cooled cake, carefully use a knife to cut around the bottle shape, then Cover the cake in butter cream icing and place it in the fridge to set before decorating.

thumbnail_Image-1

This is my bottle cake covered in butter cream icing doesn’t look like i wanted it to as the cake fell apart and i had to stick it back together again

For decoration you will need:

2cm thick rolled icing/gumpaste use the template to cut around the icing make it a little bigger than the cake don’t worry if there is too much just cut the extra off.

Red icing to make the lid of the bottle

Any extra icing can be used to make a label

Gold glitter dust

When the cake is decorated it may look like mine but let’s be honest yours will be better

thumbnail_Image

You can add more details such as writing (pink writing icing) i used pink food colouring on the white roll icing to make a label.

Hope you enjoyed this baking post and give it a go yourself don’t forget to tag me in your creations Happy Baking

Back To School Essentials

As the summer is winding down, and back to school time is just around the corner! When i was growing up back-to-shopping was one of my favourite things, getting new school supplies; looks, pens, colouring pencils, folders:

So here’s a list of school supplies and essentials for a new term:

Backpack/school Bag– this is a must as you need something to carry all your new supplies in, Choose a school bag with padded straps and a wide base for holding books and binders.  for the Girls school bags are usually an excuse to use a big hand bag (Any Ted Baker handbag) also make sure it can hold everything school (make up bag as well).

adidas-adidas-little-girl-patterned-backpack-side.jpgth-4-tile

Ring Binders/ folders – Ring binders are useful to keep all your work in the one place as well as having folders to slot in to the binder for each lesson or to store your time table / lesson plan. Binders .jpg

Notebooks and Planners- Notebooks are required for most school classes and planners are a necessity to help older students to keep track of homework assignments, study sessions and due dates.

planners

Pens and Pencils- You can never have enough pens and pencils! younger students may need washable makers, crayons and colour pencils. Older students my require highlighters mechanical pencils and erasable pens.

My Favorites

There are many guilty pleasures that people may have mine personally is buying stuff online that honestly I don’t need it really is a bit of an issue haha but anyway here is my favourite things that I have bought in the month of June. Let’s get Started!!

Blackhead cleansing lotion I have started to use this every morning and i can see a difference already, its cooling and gets me feeling fresh.

Black head

Water bottle I never use to drink much water but then i found this bottle, it helps you keep track of how much your drinking I found this in Home bargains (uk store) and on amazon.

Bottle

Dry shampoo I absolutely love dry shampoo I use it between washes or every day to give my hair volume and a nice smell, this is the pink pineapple it’s a limited edition I got this from superdrug or it can be got on amazon.

Dry shampoo

Charcoal peel off facemasks Charcoal is very popular at the minute it’s used in everything, these facemasks help to get rid of blackheads and cleans your pores and leaves your skin feeling soft.

Venus Snap Razor- I saw this on tv and had to have it, this little razor not only has 5 blades that save you the trouble of going over the same spot multiple times, but it also has a moisturizing strip surrounding the blades. Guess what that strip means? No shaving cream needed!! It’s also so small and has a cute little case (with holes so water doesn’t get trapped inside) which makes it handy for popping in your gym bag. I mean it fit perfectly with my travel shampoo, conditioner and body wash.

Charcoal toothpaste Charcoal is very popular at the minute it’s used in everything including toothpaste I know it may seem weird to use to clean your teeth but i swear by this and after 3 uses you can see the difference in colour.

Tooth paste

I hope you liked this post leave a comment below if you have any different favourites i should use and don’t forget to Love and Live Your Life!!

Top 10 Travel Essentials

Summer is here!! it pays to be prepared as failing to be organised can cost your holiday, So here’s my Top Travel Essentials list  I don’t go on holiday without, obviously like your phone and underwear so Lets get Started!!

1- Passport

This is one of the most important thing when going on a trips, You won’t get very far without your passport, but before you pack it, remember to check that it isn’t about to expire!

2- Travel Wallet

This is the perfect place to put all your items for the airport such as Boarding passes, Passport you can go anywhere,Travel insurance, Currency for wherever you are going.  This is the RFID Travel Wallet Family Passport Holder, Tuscall Document Organiser Case with Removable Hand Strap (Grey) (Link in picture)

Travel wallet closed Travel wallet

3 Hand Luggage/ Underseat Bag

Aswell as having your main suitcase you also allowed to have an extra bag such as a hand bag or backpack, it depends on the airline you are traveling with for example easyjet will allow Additional under seat bag which the Maximum size: 45cm x 36cm x 20cm. I use the Wocharm Folding bag in the size Large. This bag fits all that I want to take with me on the plane or if im going to the beach or a day trip somewhere.

Hand luagge

3-Packing Cubes

Packing cubes are the ultimate travel organiser. Everyone wants to take their whole wardrobe with them but using packing cubes will make your traveling life easy. Sort your tops from your bottoms, your swimwear from underwear. Although there may not be a lot of organisation in your life while travelling, this can be the one thing you can rely on. With sets of  six, or nine packs you can pick up as many as you want! I got my packing cubes from amazon but you can get them in ikea aswell.

Packing cubes

5 Portable Charger

When you’re miles away from the nearest power source or can’t pluck up the courage to ask the shop assistant if they have a plug you can use, fear not! Because you can have your very own plug power source which can charge most of your electrical items, suddenly making your life a whole lot easier.I also carry an extra smaller iPhone cable and micro usb cable incase I run out of charge on the go!

Block Charger

6 Wipes and Tissues

Carrying wipes and tissues are a must have these will make you slowly start to realise that they have been sent down by the travel gods to keep you clean. Use them on yourself and to wipe down the bed or any surfaces you’re finding a little bit gross! If a shower is hours out of reach, revive yourself on those long bus journeys and arrive feeling fresh and ready! I also put a big pack of wipes in my suitcase incase I run out of small ones a little tip is to get a sandwich bag or airport toiletries bag and seal to keep fresh.

Wipes and tissues

7 toiletries bag and Airport bags

These are another of my must have’s for traveling, the bag is for all the bigger toiletries such as shampoos, shower gels, tooth paste and tooth-brush. The airport bags are also important if you are only taking a hand luggage bag that has toiletries in it, on flights you are only allowed bottles that have 100ml in them and you have to put them in a bag.

Toiletteries bag and airport hand luagge bags

8 Poncho & Neck Pillow

I always take a poncho with me wherever I go anywhere cause you never know when the rain will appear, Neck Pillow is for comfort on the plane if you’ve ever been on a flight and couldn’t get comfortable use one of these it will save your life and your neck.

9 First Aid Kit and Plasters

Getting cuts on holiday or even in everyday life it is important to have a first aid kit and plasters cause you never know whats going to happen.

10 Technology

There are a lot of things I take with me when it comes to technology these include: Camera for capturing memories, there’s no better experience than looking back on everything you’ve done and reminding yourself what an amazing journey you’ve had. Headphones are important to me listening to music helps me relax on flights and when im laying on a beach, the one thing you don’t want to hear on a plane is children and babies screaming, (I’m I right?) Kindle this is either used as a tablet for games, movies or books, I find it easier to carry around than a big heavy book that takes up so much room in the bag. Ipad– I never go anywhere with out this it is my main piece of technology it is used everyday for social media, and watching videos.

Tip and Tricks for Planning and Organising

Organizing your daily schedule is always a task that  you know needs to be done, but where exactly do you start? A lot of people see time management as a super-power – there’s surely no way that a mere mortal could fit it all in between 9 and 5! But effectively organizing your daily schedule at work is simple if you have a plan, and it’s a skill that anyone can learn.

I have to admit, I don’t always have time to do everything,  I am quite prone to getting distracted by YouTube and finding other things more interesting and basically anything other than what I’m supposed to be doing. However, I believe I’ve found the *secret* to staying on top of everything I need to do when I set my mind to it.

Heres a few tips and tricks I use to stay organised

Tip 1 – Find a Way to Plan

You need to have the right tools to start, two of the most recommended ones are: Making To-do list and Using a calendar. To make a to-do list you can use a notepad to write them all down but the thing is about having lots of little pieces of paper lying around they can get lost so easily. A few to-do list apps I have use in the past are Calenders  and Wunderlist  are apps found on Iphones. these apps have helped me manage what tasks i have to complete in the day.

Calenders 9a11125f8c73b05df86baa14e094fe78_2.png Wunderlistlogo-big.png

Tip 2 Schedule It In

Once I’ve worked out the tasks I have to do in the day I use my diary to sort them out in to priorities what needs done first and if i cant do a task on the day i migrate it to another day that there is nothing on. I use planner stickers which help me to see the different tasks. 34192586_1700118656745561_3989028838406356992_n.jpg

I hope this helped dont forget to let me know how you organise and stay ontop of tasks
